Gene Pecar is President of Pecar Properties LLC, a Washington DC area developer, owner, and operator of income producing investment property. Mr. Pecar has completed numerous ground up development projects in addition to the acquisition and re-positioning of distressed assets. In addition to his real estate business, Mr. Pecar serves as an Officer and Pilot for the United States Air Force and continues to fly part-time with the DC Air National Guard. Mr. Pecar previously worked on multiple residential + commercial development and value add projects while working for Pittman Partners (Carmel, IN) and Sandor Development Company (Indianapolis, IN). Additionally Mr. Pecar provided real estate portfolio asset management consultation for the FBI and DHS while working for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Pecar received a Masters in Real Estate and Finance from Georgetown University as well as a Bachelors in Business Management from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Colin Thomas is an Investment Manager for Pecar Properties, joining the team in January of 2016. His responsibilities include sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities, asset management, and management of development activities. Mr. Thomas works on acquisition, entitlement and execution of each project. Prior to joining Pecar Properties, Mr. Thomas worked in acquisitions for a publicly traded REIT and has worked on independent development and acquisitions projects in New Orleans and Washington, DC. In addition to his work with Pecar Properties, he is extensively involved in consulting and development projects for Marcus Asset Group.
Mr. Thomas received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
